About

History and Locality

Southampton Homestead is a triple-heritage listed property, located on the banks of the Blackwood River.  The farm is 49 Hectares or 120 acres in size and located 12 kilometres south of Balingup and 250 Kilometres South of Perth in the picturesque Blackwood River Valley, Western Australia.  We are delighted that the Bibbulmun Track, which passes across our farm, has recently been included in National Geographic’s  20 ‘Holy Grails of trails’.  Described as ‘Southwestern Australia’s answer to the Appalachian Trail’, it was the only Australian trail named in the top 20!
