Are you interested in starting your own small farm and farm business? Here are some helpful resources to support your learning journey.  Fasten your seatbelts!

Southampton podcast series with Regrarians

In 2015, we collaborated with Darren Doherty from Regrarians to document some of our key learnings and experiences during the start-up phase of their pastured poultry enterprise. This is a great starting point for anyone thinking about starting their own regenerative, pastured enterprise, and includes discussion about resources, approvals (particularly for a micro-abattoir or similar facility), labour options and markets.

Visit the Regrarians Online page to listen to the seven one-hour podcasts.

REX online farm planning course

The REX is a must and starting point for anyone to create their own farm plan, and is exceptional value.  The course is run by Darren Doherty and the Regrarians Team of world-leading regenerative ag practitioners.  It is super comprehensive and a fantastic, connected community.  We cannot recommend highly enough.    There is also a payment plan available 🙂

Visit the REX website for more information.

 Grass Fed Life

We devoured this podcast from Darby Simpson – with Diego Footer from Creative Destruction (formerly Permaculture Voices)!   It’s a straight up and practical series for anyone looking to start their own regeneratively farmed enterprise.  The podcast follows Darby’s farm business week by week for a growing season (April to November).  Enjoyable and easy listening.
